Sharon Palmer, RDN Sharon has created an award-winning career based on combining her two great loves: food and writing. As a registered dietitian with 16 years of health care experience, she channels her experience into writing features covering health, wellness, nutrition, cooking, wine, cuisine, and entertainment. Sharon is also a passionate writer about food and environmental issues, having published a number of features on plant-based diets, hunger, agriculture, local and organic foods, eco-friendly culinary practices, sustainability, food safety, humane animal practices, and food security. Sharon has an in-depth expertise in plant-based nutrition. Sarah-Jane Bedwell is a registered dietitian, national speaker, and media personality. Sarah-Jane’s mission is to help people achieve a higher quality of life through food and nutrition. As the official food and nutrition blogger for SELF Magazine, a national women's health and fitness magazine, she has a valuable platform in which she can share the information that she is both knowledgeable and passionate about. Sarah-Jane graduated magna cum laude with a major in dietetics and minor in exercise science from Harding University. Sarah-Jane completed her dietetic internship, with an emphasis on Medical Nutrition Therapy at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Sarah-Jane has appeared on all the major Nashville news station affiliate channels, and regularly does upbeat nutrition-related segments. She has appeared several times nationally on NBC’s TODAY Show and has also appeared on the nationally syndicated show, The Daily Buzz. She currently serves as a media spokesperson for the Tennessee Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and was selected to win the 2013 Media Excellence Award by the National Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Chris Vogliano is an environmentally-focused registered dietitian who is creating a more sustainable, waste-free, and equitable food system. Chris has created programming for food recovery non-profits, drafted legislation, published scientific articles, and has given numerous presentations to follow the notion that food can be healthy for both people and our planet. In 2014, Chris was selected to be the first Agriculture, Nutrition, and Health Research Fellow with The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Chris was awarded "Young Dietitian of the Year" by Washington State, and was also recognized as "Today’s Dietitian Magazine’s" 10 RDs who are making a difference. Chris currently works as a clinical research associate for Arivale, a Seattle-based biotech startup focused on nutrigenomics and scientific wellness. During his free time Chris loves doing anything outdoors, and is currently training to hike Mt. Rainier in Washington State this summer!
